Project Description

The 2018 Bond project of the Salem-Keizer School District instigated a substantial transformation for Sumpter Elementary, spanning from summer 2021 to 2022. The school benefited from the addition of five new classrooms, significantly expanding its capacity to accommodate more students. Moreover, a newly constructed cafeteria and kitchen were incorporated to provide students with a dedicated space for meals. The school's outdoor facilities were also upgraded with the inclusion of two covered play structures, fostering an environment that allows children to play and learn irrespective of the weather conditions. Lastly, safety at the school was given high priority – a secure vestibule, built by INLINE, offered enhanced measures to ensure the security of the school community. The transformation of Sumpter Elementary through the 2018 Bond project highlights the commitment of the Salem-Keizer School District towards providing quality education to its students.
