CREATION

Over the last four decades, I’ve taken on various roles while navigating the ups and downs of the construction industry through economic fluctuations and varying workloads. Throughout the years, we’ve gained valuable insights through both challenges and triumphs. Here’s to another forty years of continued prosperity.
— Dave Flint, Founder

Dave, a union carpenter in the early 1980’s

amidst challenging economic conditions, harbored a bold vision for the future. Despite the odds, he dared to dream of owning his own company. In 1983, that dream materialized with the establishment of In Line Acoustical, a specialized Division 9 contractor. Anchored in the vibrant Portland Metro area, the company swiftly carved out its niche, tackling diverse projects in mixed-use, Class A, and retail sectors.

As the years progressed, Dave's vision expanded, nurturing a dedicated team that grew to over 20 employees. In 1994, with the acquisition of a General Contractor license, INLINE Commercial Construction emerged, maintaining its Division 9 roots while venturing into broader realms. From healthcare to tenant improvements, the company flourished, diversifying its portfolio and clientele.

By 2004, healthcare emerged as a cornerstone of INLINE's operations, forging partnerships with major providers and assembling a team of 35 skilled professionals. The company's horizons continued to broaden, venturing into finance and education sectors, demonstrating adaptability and foresight.

As 2014 dawned, INLINE Commercial Construction stood as a beacon of success, boasting a workforce exceeding 50 employees. Firmly entrenched in healthcare, finance, education, and retail landscapes, INLINE’s reputation echoed through groundbreaking projects and transformative improvements. INLINE’s journey epitomized a narrative of growth, resilience, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
